General Purpose
With some latitude and control over data management decisions, work closely with the Principal Investigator, Program Manager and Data Analysts to: establish appropriate large database formats created from multiple sources; organize systems to document databases; verify data quality; facilitate data analyses; and, conduct basic analyses for multiple clinical and epidemiology studies of cardiovascular and other health outcomes for the Center of Outcomes Research and Evaluation.Essential Duties1. Manage very large datasets from multiple sources for numerous projects. Move and merge data files from different platforms, clean data and perform data quality control.
2. Work closely with the Principal Investigator, Program Manager, and Data Analysts to establish the appropriate format for large databases from multiple sources.
3. Organize and create documents related to databases and facilitate analyses; organize and keep track of the status of datasets, communicate with data source about data accuracy and data dictionary, access data servers and record the location of databases, clearly label variables and define variables through detailed description in the database.
4. Conduct preliminary analyses to verify quality of data received, including, but not necessarily limited to summary statistics.
5. Perform descriptive statistics under the direction of the investigators, which may include running variable frequencies, summarizing these data and reporting to investigators any atypical findings.
6. Perform other data analysis as needed and under the direction of the investigators.
7. Communicate with external investigators and contractors about data specifications and requirements to meet project goals.
8. Maintain CORE database systems including back up, security and compliance with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures.
9. Consult with experts on new processes for efficient and secure data management, and implement suggestions.
10. Work with other organizations collaborating on CORE projects, including the American College of Cardiologists (ACC) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in order to standardize separate data files which may be utilized jointly in terms of accuracy, data quality and consistency with respect to variable and file names and descriptions.
11. Recommend hardware and software requirements and updates.
12. Ensure data security and compliance with data use agreements by becoming knowledgeable about, and strictly adhering to, the policies and procedures set forth by contractors in their data use agreements.Education and Experience1. Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in relational database applications, either as a developer or DBA trainer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Education and Experience
1. BA/BS in Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science or related quantitative field.
2. Two years of work experience involving extensive data management from multiple sources and moving/merging data from multiple platforms.

Position General Purpose
Reporting to the Director for Information Technology, and with considerable latitude for independent judgment, assist in managing the suite of Web sites that comprise the AYA’s online Web presence for Yale alumni and the general public. Lead strategic projects and provide technical expertise to upgrade and redesign the information and technical architecture of AYA Web sites; define business needs and requirements for new systems to support AYA staff operations and alumni volunteers in creating electronic media. Participate in the development of online guidelines and best practices. Maintain IT infrastructure for AYA.Essential Duties1. Work with other AYA IT staff to create a robust online presence for AYA in order to effectively disseminate information to the entire Yale University alumni population (150,000+ alumni) and the general public. Take a key role in Web development, including responsibility for overall site technical and information architecture. Construct templates for site design and execute primary coding and image creation for AYA Web site (www.aya.yale.edu) comprised of approximately 6,000 pages and scripts.
2. Participate in the efforts related to the selection, implementation and ongoing enhancement of a content management system (CMS) as part of the large scale redesign and technical reorganization of the AYA Web site as part of the AYA’s strategic plan.
3. Provide leadership in information and technical design/architecture planning and implementation of proposed solutions; develop prototypes, code pages/scripts, conduct code reviews and manage quality assurance testing.
4. Work with functional stakeholders to define business needs, project timelines and deliverables. Using a combination of DHTML, JavaScript and other markup/scripting languages, create templates and customized mini-Web sites (approximately 20 mini-sites annually) and broadcast e-mail messages (nearly 200 annually) to market and support AYA-sponsored alumni events. Develop associated guidelines, standards and best practices.
5. Perform ongoing participation in strategic planning and decision making associated with the implementation of new AYA IT services and tools that support AYA staff, hundreds of AYA alumni volunteers in their alumni leadership roles and all individual alumni.
6. Create and develop databases primarily in MySQL (including maintenance, administration and support for existing application and take a lead role in developing new solutions). Integrate custom built systems and vendor supplied applications.
7. Research and keep abreast of emerging technologies, trends and tools; evaluate open source and commercial products and recommend enhancements; provide leadership in the implementation of new solutions to improve processes, manage development requests and match/exceed technology offerings provided by peer institutions.
8. Analyze technical server logs and prepare reports for the AYA senior leadership team summarizing AYA Web site performance metrics; recommend changes when appropriate.
9. Serve as primary liaison for 100+ alumni volunteers regarding alumni Web sites. Assist and advise volunteers on acceptable practices, policies and terms of use related to Web site hosting and administration on AYA-hosted server. Research new tools and resolve technical problems related to alumni Web sites.
10. Share monitoring, issue resolution and upgrade/maintenance responsibilities for three AYA Web and database servers with other AYA IT staff.
11. Resolve hardware and software issues encountered by 25% of AYA staff; recommend purchases and upgrades as needed and as part of strategic hardware upgrade/replacement initiative.
12. Participate in and staff alumni activities sponsored by the AYA such as Yale College reunions and the Assembly, including evenings and weekends as necessary. Travel to serve as staff representative on AYA travel programs for one or more trips per year.

Education and Experience

已经接到人事部门两封信,就是要我们推荐两类人才,其中一类是IT.还有一类是BUSINESS ANALYST(应该是商科BB, MBA).被推荐人一旦被录用,推荐人可得500元.推荐人并不是REFERENCE.只是为了提高可靠性.所以一般的我也不推荐的.会坏了我的REPUTATION.

要求挺高的,估计很难招到。申请人很多,当然合格的很少。

上面第三个职位ANALYST 3 属于高级职位,要求当然高,你可申请初级职位,12,这里选人是很严格的,但一旦被选中,福利还是很好的,而且不用担心裁员.有个PROGRAMMER就是本科斯坦福,硕士伯克利,IBM工作数年.再来这里的.本地的老外.所以中国人必须很突出才行.我去过IT部门开过会,见到有1-2个中国面孔,但很少.
除了学位和语言,COMMUNICATION 和INTERPERSONAL SKILLS是很关键的.,还要看你的REFERENCE.大学一般都要做REFERENCE CHECK.YALE不怕招不到人,而是要招优秀的人.
